Twinning-induced plasticity (TWIP) steel is a second-generation advanced high strength grade developed for automotive applications. TWIP steels exhibit an excellent combination of and ductility, mainly originating from the activation deformation twinning. However, generally relatively low yield (YS), which limits their practical Thus, developing YS without ductility loss essential to increase industrial The present work summarizes discusses recent progress in improving steels, terms precipitation strengthening, solid solution thermomechanical processing, novel processes.
